Prestigious Philip Leverhulme Prize for Professor Magidor

Congratulations to Professor Ofra Magidor on being offered a Philip Leverhulme Prize, reflecting compelling recognition of her research achievements.

These Prizes have been offered since 2001 in commemoration of the contribution to the work of the Leverhulme Trust made by Philip Leverhulme, the Third Viscount Leverhulme and grandson of William Hesketh Lever, the founder of the Trust.

The Prize recognises ‘……the achievement of early career researchers whose work has already attracted international recognition and whose future career is exceptionally promising. The prize scheme makes up to thirty awards of £100,000 a year, across a range of academic disciplines.’

Professor Magidor’s current research ranges over philosophy of language, metaphysics, epistemology, and philosophy of mathematics, and she is particularly interested in connecting recent debates in these cognate fields to classic questions in the foundations of language.
