Inexpressibility and Reflection in the Formal Sciences

Volker Halbach has been awarded a research grant under the UK-Latin America and the Caribbean Link Competition of the British Academy. The award will be used to support a programme entitled "Truth, Open-endedness and Inexpressibility", consisting of two seminars involving the members of the research group "Inexpressibility and Reflection in the Formal Sciences", which is based in Oxford and funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, and "Unrestricted Quantification, Expressiveness and Contextualism", which is based in Buenos Aires and funded by the Argentinian National Research Council for Science and Technology. A seminar in Oxford is scheduled for April 2012 and a seminar in Buenos Aires will follow in 2013.
